The suggestiveness of two human figures restrained, deprived from certain senses and/or restrained in their body movements, their autonomy restricted, can be larger than the suggestive power of a single figure…
Building further on the previous series (“Subject-object releasement predicaments”) that explore the realm between abstraction and figuration, created and imagined from the body, this is a new invitation into mini-worlds of ambiguity, flow and liveliness. Erotic sculptures in the sense that they need no further explanation and in the sense that they appeal to carnal inclinations.
The ever-changing sight of these human-like figures under changing lighting conditions and our constantly moving eyes can be a source of joy and wonderment to those who engage with that which reveals and unfolds… Especially when bathing in light the sculptures’ reflections induce a subtle invitation to engage more with the fluid forms…
Deprivaties in stereo
De suggestiviteit van twee ingeperkte menselijke figuren, beroofd van bepaalde zintuigen en/of beperkt in hun bewegingsvrijheid, hun beperkte autonomie, kan groter zijn dan de suggestieve kracht van één enkele figuur…
Voortbouwend op de vorige serie (“Subject-object releasement predicaments”) die het gebied tussen abstractie en figuratie verkent, gecreëerd en verbeeld vanuit het lichaam, is dit een aanvullend portaal tot mini-werelden van ambiguïteit, fluïditeit en levendigheid.
Het steeds veranderende zicht op deze mensachtige figuren onder veranderende lichtomstandigheden en onze constant bewegende ogen kan een bron van vreugde en verwondering zijn voor degenen die dieper ingaan op wat zich onthult en ontvouwt… Vooral wanneer de reflecties van de sculpturen, rijkelijk badend in licht, uitnodigen tot een verder exploreren van vloeiende vormen, met de ogen en ons fysieke zijn…
Privations en stéréo
La suggestivité de deux figures humaines restreintes, privées de certains sens et/ou restreintes dans leurs mouvements corporels, peut dépasser le pouvoir suggestif d’une seule figure…
S’appuyant sur la série précédente (« Prédicaments de libération sujet-objet ») qui explore le domaine entre abstraction et figuration, créé et imaginé à partir du corps, cette œuvre est une nouvelle invitation à explorer des mini-univers d’ambiguïté, de fluidité et de vivacité. Des sculptures érotiques, dans le sens où elles se passent d’explications et où elles font appel aux inclinations charnelles.
La vision changeante de ces figures humanoïdes, sous des conditions d’éclairage changeantes et sous nos yeux en mouvement constant, peut être une source de joie et d’émerveillement pour ceux qui s’intéressent à ce qui se révèle et se dévoile… En particulier, baignés de lumière, les reflets des sculptures incitent subtilement à s’intéresser davantage à la fluidité des formes…
